BSSW Pitbike Sprint Cup 2026 – A New Series for Pitbikes in Visonta

BSSW Pitbike Sprint Cup 2026 – A New Series for Pitbikes in Visonta

A new chapter begins in the 2026 season at Black Star Speedway Visonta. The BSSW Pitbike Sprint Cup is introduced as a dedicated sprint-format series designed to make pitbike racing structured, accessible and genuinely competitive. Organised as part of the BSSW Supermoto Cup, the series operates under its own detailed sporting and technical regulations.

The philosophy behind the series is straightforward: instead of artificially restricting technical development, the field is balanced through clear categorisation by age, skill level and engine class. The focus remains on racing experience, progression and fair competition.

The series is built around two main pillars. The Junior Racer category is open to riders aged 7 to 16, competing in 90 cc, 110 cc, 140 cc and 160 cc classes. The structure allows young riders to develop step by step, choosing the class that best suits their age and preparation level.

From the age of 14, riders may also enter the Adult category, which has no upper age limit. Here, competitors select between two skill-based groups: Racer for amateur and developing riders, and ProRacer for faster, more experienced competitors. Entry is based on self-assessment, while the organiser retains the right of sporting reclassification to ensure safe and balanced racing.

Each race weekend follows a clear and dynamic structure. Riders begin with a 15-minute Free Practice session and a 15-minute Qualifying session. This is followed by a 5-lap Sprint Race and the 17-lap Long Race main event. The starting grid is determined by the best qualifying lap times.

In the ProRacer category, the top three riders from qualifying advance to a dedicated SuperPole session. Each rider completes one out lap, one timed lap and one in lap, with the fastest timed lap deciding the first three grid positions.

Points are awarded in Qualifying, the Sprint Race and the Long Race, with the main race carrying the highest points allocation. Overall category winners, class podium finishers, the SuperPole winner and best lap performances are all recognised. In addition, every rider who starts at least one race during the event receives a commemorative participation plaque.

The BSSW Pitbike Sprint Cup 2026 is more than just another championship. It is a platform where young talents and experienced riders share the same track under transparent, fair and professionally structured regulations. Entries are submitted via the official BSSW platform, and submission of an entry implies full acceptance of the complete regulations and technical requirements.
